Sensing Vitality Class: for Elders (over age 75)
Thursdays 10 am, Maple Ridge Assisted Living Recreational Hall
Freeland, WA in South Whidbey Island
$5 for drop-in from non-residents over age 75
The intention of these classes is to improve overall health and vitality by engaging the senses and having fun in the process! Classes include short Feldenkrais lessons, Qigong, breathing and lessons to improve balance, coordination, vision, hearing, reflexes, alignment, strength, flexibility and stability. Unusual “exercises” wake up the brain and nervous system to create long-lasting improvement with movement and mental function. Great for all ages– families and younger folks welcome. Movements and activities are designed to be either seated or standing.
Contact Annie at anniethoe@higheraction.com or at 206-271-4270 if you have questions. There is plenty of room if you would like to drop-in on a Thursday class.

Right on target, Ari. i’m 54 and i’m not yet clmaniig that title “elderly” but i do agree about respecting the older generation — because they have a large store of knowledge and actual experience to share with anyone willing and receptive and open to learning — one who doesn’t claim to know it all.
